43106 Returns to the M&GN

19th August 2011

Former South Lynn (31D) loco, Ivatt Standard 4 43106 returned home to former M&GN metals in August.

The historic loco, which is preserved by and normally based on the Severn Valley Railway spent a summer on the NNR, and stayed for the Autumn Steam Gala event.

The loco was very well recieved by crews and was right at home on its old stomping ground. The class was synonymous with the M&GN - 43106 was delivered new to South Lynn in 1951 and they worked all over Norfolk.
